Who we are……Heather and Hawthorn, are two sisters living in North Yorkshire.  Who are exploring how to integrate a love for nature and the environment and a passion for creating art. Concerned about the environmental impact of existing synthetic art materials like acrylic, we recently started a dye garden and learning how to make our own art materials from foraged plants and earth pigments. However to minimise waste, we are continuing to use existing art supplies.  Our website, explores nature, with a focus on creating art using natural and locally available materials – such as botanical inks and paints made from earth pigments and sharing what we learn along the way.
